Tips for a pollinator’s paradise!

Grow native flowering plants. Most native plants require little irrigation or fertilizer to thrive having adapted to local soil and climate. These plants are also usually the best source for nectar and pollen.

Plant in the sun. Butterfly adults generally feed only in the sun.

Provide long lasting blooms. Planting a variety of plants with different bloom times sustains native pollinators throughout the season.

Plant in groups. Clumps will attract more pollinators than a scattered landscape.

No insecticide. Insecticides have the potential to poison or kill pollinators.
